Casino Post compares online casinos that accept Canadian players. Below: where our reporting stops being reliable, and which facts are worth confirming with the operator first.
Information, not advice
Reviews and guides describe what operators publish: terms, bonus rules, payment options, game lists. Nothing in them counts as legal, tax or money advice, and none of it is a recommendation to gamble at all, at a given casino or for a given amount. Opening an account is your decision and your responsibility.
Licences and the provinces
Canada has no single national gambling licence. Ontario runs a regulated market where operators must be registered with the AGCO and contract with iGaming Ontario; other provinces offer their own government sites, and many casinos reviewed here hold licences issued outside Canada. A licence can be suspended or lapse after our last check, so confirm an operator’s status with its regulator before you deposit.
Readers in Ontario
Casino bonuses may not be advertised to Ontario residents. Offers on our pages are aimed at readers in other provinces, and a casino available elsewhere in Canada may not be open to players located in Ontario.
Bonuses and wagering
A bonus figure on our pages is what the casino showed on the date of our review. Every offer comes with conditions — wagering requirements, game weighting, expiry dates, maximum cash-out — and the promotion’s own terms always override our summary.
RTP, odds and strategy
Return-to-player percentages and house edges are long-run averages calculated over millions of rounds. They say nothing certain about one session. A strategy guide can reduce the house edge in some games; it cannot remove it. The same slot may run at different RTP settings at different casinos.
Free games
Demo games on Casino Post are for practice and entertainment. They use play money, pay nothing out, and a run of luck in a demo is no guide to results with real stakes.
Deposits, withdrawals and currency
How much you can move, what it costs and how fast it arrives vary by operator, by method and by the verification your account has passed. We quote what operators state; real times can be longer, especially for a first withdrawal. Whether a casino accepts Canadian dollars or Interac can change without notice.
Ratings and rankings
Scores follow the method set out in How we rate casinos. They are editorial judgements based on public information, not a certificate of a casino’s safety or solvency. Some rankings include casinos we have commercial agreements with; how that works is explained in our affiliate disclosure.
News articles
News pieces reflect what was known when they were published. A bill, a regulator’s decision or a market launch described in an older article may since have moved on; official sources show the current position.
Trademarks
Logos, names and screenshots of casinos, games and studios belong to their owners and help identify the product being described. Their appearance does not mean the owner endorses a page.
External sites
Links lead to sites we do not run. Their owners are responsible for what is published there, how secure the site is and how visitor data is handled.
The risk is yours
Gambling with money can mean losing it, and for some people it becomes a problem. No page here promises winnings or a way to beat the house. Stake real money only once you have reached 19 (18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec) and only in a place that permits it. ConnexOntario (1-866-531-2600) offers free and confidential support; more contacts by province are on our responsible gambling page.
Limits of our liability
As far as the law permits, Coralquill Digital Media N.V. accepts no liability for money lost gambling, for choices made after reading the site, for information that changed after our review, or for interruptions to the service. The rest of the rules are in our terms of use.
Found a mistake?
If a review is out of date, email [email protected] with the page address and the correct source. We recheck the page and update its review date.
How current our pages are
Each review carries the date it was last checked. Between checks a casino can raise its wagering, drop a payment method, change its owner or close its doors to a province. Treat any figure older than a few weeks as a starting point, then open the operator’s own terms page and read it in full before you register or claim anything.
Taxes
In Canada, gambling winnings of recreational players are generally not taxed, but professional play and income earned on winnings can be. Our pages do not deal with individual tax situations; for your own position, check with the Canada Revenue Agency or an accountant.
Disputes with a casino
We cannot settle a complaint, recover a withheld payout or close an account for you. A dispute belongs first with the casino’s support team and then with the regulator or adjudication body named in its licence. Where a review mentions how a casino treats complaints, that is our reading of public information, not a promise about your case.
Calculators and comparison tables
Wagering calculators, payout tables and side-by-side comparisons do arithmetic on the numbers we enter. They assume the bonus rules work as published and leave out factors such as bet caps, excluded games or currency conversion. A result is an estimate, not a quote from the operator.
Account security
We never ask for your casino password, banking details or identity documents. Anyone who contacts you claiming to be Casino Post and asks for them is not us; delete the message and, if a casino account may be at risk, contact that casino directly.
